- Goal 1: Continue developing “Luca Locations” mobile app, expanding the app feature set
- Goal 2: Implement “Events” feature for a major event in Berlin
- Goal 3: Fix known bugs / issues and polish / refine existing features
Projects
I was brought on Luca Locations mobile team to help develop new features that it’s users were requesting and also to fix known issues as well as polish / refine existing features.
One “Big Ticket” item I worked on and developed solo was the “Events” feature which was being built out for a major event in Berlin
Project 1
Contributions: Continue developing “Luca Locations” mobile app, expanding the app feature set
Scope: Luca Locations app - React Native
Impact: By adding user requested features we increased our user satisfaction score which lead to more users being interested in the app which lead to more restaurants ( paying clients ) joining Luca Locations
Project 2
Contributions: Implement “Events” feature for a major event in Berlin
Scope: Brand new section inside Luca Locations app
Impact: Even though this feature was being developed for a particular major event in Berlin the functionality was built in such a way that it is reusable by other events unlocking a whole new category of potential paying customers
Project 3
Contributions: Fix known bugs / issues and polish / refine existing features
Scope: Luca Locations app
Impact: When I joined there were a number of known issues and areas of improvement for existing features, I’m happy to say that working on these issue lead to a noticeable increase in user satisfaction and a better app rating on the app stores

Worked with project owners, designers and other react native devs on the team to deliver high quality mobile app experience
What I learned
Expanded on my existing React Native knowledge and picked up a few new problem solving approaches from quality teammates
